Laundry Care

To preserve your new clothings, do follow our fabric care suggestions carefully.

  • As material and dyes vary between manufacturers and products, for best results we recommend that you test a sample before washing or dry cleaning the entire garment.
  • Gentle hand wash with light detergent in cold running water is highly recommended.
  • Turn garment inside out before washing.
  • For machine wash, set to delicate and wash in cold water. Use a laundry bag to prevent your clothing from going out of shape. Do not tumble dry.
  • Strong detergent e.g. Dynamo should be avoided, especially for garments with two or more colours.
  • Do not bleach or soak the garment, especially for those with two or more colours.
  • To prevent colour run, try adding 2-3 tablespoons of salt or 2-3 cups of white vinegar to your wash. Wring the garment as dry as possible after washing to prevent colour transfer due to seepage. Remember to keep the different colours separate during drying to prevent colour transfer.
  • To maintain the garment's shape, lay it flat to dry. Dry the clothing inside out to maintain the vibrancy of the colours.
  • Steam iron where possible. Otherwise, press iron with cool or low heat. Turn the clothing inside out when ironing.

DUCHESS shall not be held responsible for damages caused due to mishandling of garments during washing.
